Hello everyone and welcome to your Indy Wrestle Line Independent report.. I am the Weekend Warrior Randy Klemme.
---------------------------------
Well if you are calling the hotline report, you can tell I am a little under the weather, so this report will be quite short..
To answer a couple of caller's questions, the person that was referred to in one of the calls does not have a hotline currently in the Indianapolis area....and as for what I thought was the top news maker of 2007 in the world of professional wrestling was, hands down would have to be the Chris Benoit tragedy in Georgia. I am interested in hearing what others think were the big wrestling newsmakers for 2007 were. Please leave those after this report or e-mail them to me. I'll have those on a future update.
Some results from this weekend.....EWF crowned a new heavyweight and tag champions at their show Saturday night in Marion, Indiana..
Sami Callihan won a battle royal for a chance at the Midwesten Title later in the night.

Hello everyone and welcome to your Indy Wrestle Line Independent report.. I am the Weekend Warrior Randy Klemme.
---------------------------------
Well this continues to be a very slow week on the independent wrestling scene around the midwest. I do want to thank all of you that called with holiday wishes on the hotline and through e-mail. Some of those included the Dirty Squirrel, Brad Dykens, Johnny Black among others. I hope everyone continues to have a safe holiday week...
To Big Jim in Maryland, those I have been in contact with the NWA hoped the new show on Colours TV would be on the air by the end of December, but it appears that is not going to happren. According to the Colours TV website the NWA will debut in January sometime. I have been promised to be notified when the show will start so I can pass it along.
I have decided to withhold more information on the show in Connersville, Indiana last weekend. I am getting conflicting stories from both sides of the situation, so I will refrain in alot of the details of what supposedly happened, however I will say that the show did start over an hour late due to problems with the wrestling card which should never happen at a professionally run show. It sounds like there was alot of miscommunication. and to Rob, I do not make it a practice to call another hotline to get show results. I appreciate you letting me know about the results for this show, however, the majority of wrestling companies and also wrestlers on those cards send me the results direct if they want some promotion. This group has been asked to send their show information and results to us, but refuse to do so. Those wanting publicity for their organization and wrestlers can send the info anytime directly to me at the e-mail address I will have in a moment.
There are a few shows this weekend around the area, including New Focus Wrestling at the C.K.Newsome Center in Evansville Saturday night. One of the big matches of the night will be a Loser Leaves NFW Cage Match between T-Bolt Baxton and Timber.....Bo Bo Brazil, Jr meets Master Rich in a 30-minute Iron Man cage match...plus a number of other matches. Belltime is at 7pm Saturday night in Evansville.
Other shows Saturday night will occur at the EWF Arena, 3400 S Adams Street in Marion, Indiana with a 7:30pm belltime.....Supreme Championship Wrestling will be in action at 821 West Main in Madison, Indiana with a 7:30 belltime....Mountain Wrestling Association will be at the Estill Street Jubilee in Mt Sterling, Kentucky starting at 7:30pm....and the Northern Wrestling Federation will be at the UAW Union Hall in Fairfield, Ohio starting at 8pm Saturday night. On Sunday, Derby City Wrestling will be at the National Guard Armory in Seymour, Indiana with a 7pm belltime.
and don't forget the WCWO New Year's Eve bash this coming Monday night at the Grassy Creek Apartment Gymnasium just off of West Washington Street on the westisde of Indianapolis. Belltime is at 7:30pm with a New Year's Party to follow....

Hello everyone and welcome to your Indy Wrestle Line Independent report.. I am the Weekend Warrior Randy Klemme.
---------------------------------
There is really not alot to report on today's update in the way of news. Don't forget tickets are still available for WCWO's New Years Eve bash at Grassy Creek Apartments on the westside of Indianapolis. Call 317-308-6556 to make reservations. Wrestling starts at 7:30 with a party to follow. Tickets are $10 and seating is very limited....
I understand from a caller that there were some problems at the show in Connersville, Indiana Saturday night. I did not attend due to personal reasons, but I am trying to get the other side of the situation before going into details, but it appears that some guys should not be promoting shows or involved in so-called training potential professional wrestlers when he has never been trained himself. More later this week.
--------------------------------------------
Just a one set of show results from this weekend so far we will have more on our Monday report, but not many shows took place this weekend on this last weekend before Christmas

Brian Jennings defeated Benjamin Kimera by DQ
Muldoon defeated Jon Moxley by DQ
Tap or Snap & The Thugs wrestled to a Double Count out.
The Hippies defeated Mr. Hayes & Playboy Scott Hayes in a two out of three falls match

SHIMMER News
SHIMMER TITLE TOURNEY DVDS NOW AVAILABLE!
----------------------------------------------------------
In November of 2005, eighteen women gathered in suburban Chicago to be a part of the inaugural SHIMMER Women Athletes DVD taping. The event was in many ways an experiment to see if a U.S. based women's pro wrestling product which put the focus on athleticism and wrestling skill could be accepted by wrestling fans, and develop a following. SHIMMER Volume 1 surprised many when it became a hot seller very quickly at ROHwrestling.com, proving that there is indeed an audience for a serious women's wrestling DVD product.
As SHIMMER built its fan following during the months that followed that first taping, several further editions of the DVD series were filmed, featuring many of the top female stars from around the world, including Ireland's Rebecca Knox, the UK's Nikita, Nattie Neidhart from Calgary, and LuFisto from Montreal. SHIMMER introduced Amazing Kong to the American wrestling scene on Volume 5, after she first honed her skills and built her reputation in Japan. During the time period between Volumes 1 and 10, many of SHIMMER's women athletes moved on in their careers, and new faces were thrown into the mix to take those roster spots. Through the DVD series, fans were able to familiarize themselves with just who each of these female competitors are, and what they are capable of in the ring. Having established a core of athletes through the first ten DVD releases, SHIMMER was ready to take the next logical step... crowning a SHIMMER Champion.
Over the course of two nights in Berwyn, IL, sixteen women participated in a single elimination tournament to determine just who would be the first athlete to wear SHIMMER gold. Many of the wrestlers who had been in action from the very beginning, such as Cheerleader Melissa, MsChif, Allison Danger, Lexie Fyfe, Sara Del Rey, Ariel, Lacey, Cindy Rogers, Daizee Haze, Nikki Roxx, and Rain were entered into the bracketing. Competitors who made their way to SHIMMER during 2006 and early 2007, such as veteran grappler Malia Hosaka, British star "The Jezebel" Eden Black, and Canada's Portia Perez were also added to the mix. Additionally, newcomers to the SHIMMER ranks like Alicia and CMLL's "Dark Angel" Sarah Stock tried to instantly establish themselves in SHIMMER during their debut weekend with the company by becoming that first SHIMMER Champion.
Now, all of the action as part of the two night, sixteen woman tournament is available on DVD for immediate worldwide shipping from ROHwrestling.com! Volume 11 features all of the matches which took place on the first night, which includes the entire first and second rounds of the tournament. Volume 12 consists of matches which took place during the second night, including the semi-finals and finals of the tournament, as well as several non-tournament matches featuring wrestlers eliminated from tournament action the previous night. These two companion DVD releases total over five and a half hours of action, and feature twenty big matches in all!
The first ten DVD releases in the SHIMMER series demonstrated what each of the members of the SHIMMER roster bring to the table, all in preparation for this tournament to decide just which of the women athletes of SHIMMER is deserving of being recognized as the very best. Volumes 11 & 12 of the SHIMMER DVD series... now available at ROHwrestling.com!

The Wrestleline Report-Monday
To give some updates on Booker T-the general feeling is that he does not want to retire, and will most likely end up in TNA. Also, Sharmell is wanting to go back to college.
There is/has been a power struggle in TNA going on for a couple months now between Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett. Angle basically is gunning for control of the company-booking wise-and apparently many would favor this, as a lot of people are tired of Jarrett's illogical booking style. I think this is a very dangerous and volitile situation, because if Kurt Angle doesn't get what Kurt Angle wants-as we've seen in the past-he's likely to throw a huge tissy fit and walk out, but on the flip side, honestly, TNA is Jeff Jarrett's baby, and Angle doesn't have any right to be trying to take Jarrett's power away. I really hate to see this.
It's being rumored that Brock Lesnar's first UFC fight may be against Brad Imes. Also, it's being rumored that Lesnar's deal is for two years, and that he may debut for UFC as soon as Feb.
Chris Jericho is slated to make his return to WWE at the Cyber Sunday ppv, but USA prez Bonnie Hammer is pushing for him to return on RAW. Jericho commented on the disastrous California Wrestle Fest, stating that he'd been contacted to appear at the event over the summer, but turned it down.
I have a question for you guys. How much do you think internet advertising helps wrestling promotions? It was ABUNDANTLY clear that this wrestle fest over the weekend had to have been relying heavily on just word of mouth from the internet, plus I'd heard there was an MMA event going on nearby the event. You guys tell me your thoughts!
More on the release of Kristal Marshall-prior to her release, there had been complaints about Kristal’s work. She is said to have rubbed the wrong people the wrong way.
Former Four Horsemen manager and WWE employee J.J. Dillon under went left knee replacement last week. We wish him a speedy recovery. Dillon has started his physical therapy.
After being released by WWE (AGAIN), Teddy Hart no-showed a booking in Calgary for the PWA promotion.

Indy Wrestle Line 10/8 Independent Report
Indy Wrestle Line 10/8 Independent Report
317-592-9401 option 2
http://www.themidwestinsider.cjb.net
http://theweekendwarrior.tk
Hello everyone and welcome to your Indy Wrestle Line Independent report I am the Weekend Warrior Randy Klemme.
---------------------------------
Well at first this started out as a normal report, but as I was putting it together I kept getting e-mails and messages regarding Saturday night's WCWA Dream Reunion that went on in Kokomo, Indiana. Some of the stories that I have been told are unbelievable at times, but from what I have been able to put together, Promoter Rob Reeder still owes literally thousands of dollars to wrestlers and the building along with several others just to break even on the show.
From some of the reports I have received from the wrestlers and fans from the show, the promoter could not pay for the building completely so the building has held the ring and all of the custom made title belts. MOST of the wrestlers were not paid and I am told that a number of the "legends" that were promoted, didn't even appear at the show including Jerry Lawler, Jim Cornette, Scott Norton, Brian Christopher, Jerry Saggs and several others. Dr Death Steve Williams was cancelled off the show last week when it was learned there was no plan to buy him a plane ticket to the show. I have been told most of the "legends" that did show were either stiffed on their pay or only received a portion. I do know that at least five of the legends received their money when they asked for it at the beginning of the night after hearing what was all taking place. Reports are that Jim Neidhart, Tommy Rich and Greg Valentine were three that were very upset. Some even told me they had heard that one of the legends was in possession of a handgun, to show how serious the situation was. Supposedly the night got so bad Saturday for Promoter Rob Reeder, he locked himself into a room surrounded by police.
From a fans perspective, they didn't receive everything as promoted for their $80 ticket price. The best part from the fans point of view...They were treated to an excellent main event for the evening between The Midnight Express and the Rock n Roll Express with Baby Doll involved in the match.
It is inconceivable how a promoter could put on such an event and doesn't have enough money to pay for the talent on the show, let alone the building. I was told in one e-mail that Reeder even took money from the personal merchandise sales of two of the local wrestlers to help pay some of the bills.
There were airplane flights not paid for as well as hotel rooms, meals, transportation and more for those coming from outside of the area.
As of 4pm Sunday the WCWA Message Board was taken down from the website due to all of the complaints on the show and YES I have made an attempt to contact Rob Reeder direct by e-mail to try and be fair for his side of the story and as of doing this report I have just received an e-mail from the WCWA office wanting to tell their side of the story. We will have that on our next update if it is available.
The bottem line is that the "Legends" were treated like crap with a lack of respect.....the local indy guys were forced to show up at 7am on the day of the show when the show started later that night...and the fans were disrespected by not getting what was promoted for the show.
While the idea of a "Legends" show is a great idea, Kokomo, Indiana may not have been the town to have it in due to it's size and market area.
This is just another BLACK EYE for Indiana Professional Wrestling that we will have to overcome and hopefully Mr Reeder will not be permitted to running shows any longer, IF he gets his ring back

Indy Wrestle Line 9/30 Independent Report
Indy Wrestle Line 9/30 Independent Report
317-592-9401 option 2
http://www.themidwestinsider.cjb.net
http://theweekendwarrior.tk
Hello everyone and welcome to your Indy Wrestle Line Independent report I am the Weekend Warrior Randy Klemme.
We have alot of ground to cover today with news, information and results from the midwest independent wrestling scene so let's get right into...
Hopefully everyone has had a chance to listen to the message left by Adam Simmons over on option 1 of the Indy Wrestle Line. Adam has decided to take a break from the Hotline and Message Board due to all of the stress brought by keeping it all going and all of the drama and crap happening currently on the message board. I do not blame Adam one bit for walking away for a short time and hopefully it will be only for a short time. It takes alot of time, energy and money to do what he has done for the Indianapolis area independent wrestling scene and there are many that don't appreciate what he has done. I know babysitting is not apart of the job description for what he has taken on, however in recent weeks that is what he has been doing. Let's hope the break for Adam is a short one...
I failed to mention my congratulations to some area wrestlers who appeared in this years Pro Wrestling Illustrated Top 500 Wrestlers for 2007....Number 322 was Drake Younger...345 was Dave Crist...Jake Crist was 349....Billy Maverick came in at 412....Number 417 was Billy Roc...Shawn Cook was number 446...Eric Draven was 459 and Corporal Robinson was number 487. Again congratulations to all of these fine wrestlers...
Speaking of Shawn Cook, I heard something about Shawn this week and I sent him a message and it was true. If you went to the Smackdown taping last Tuesday in Indianapolis he was one of the Druids in the Undertaker/Mark Henry match. He told me Jason Harding, Steve Boz, Silas Young, Trevor Blanchard and a few OVW guys were the other druids. I am sure they needed as many as they could to haul Mark Henry's carcas out of there...
A quick reminder, don't forget next weekend there are alot of great shows around Indiana.....Dream Reunion happens in Kokomo, Indiana next Saturday with several activities leading to a big show. Scheduled to appear at this years Dream Reunion Jerry "The King" Lawler, Jimmy Hart, Baby Doll, Marty Janetty, The Nasty Boys, Scott Norton and just added this week Chavo Guerrero Sr, Greg Valentine and Jim Neidhart. For full details go to wcwarulz.com...
Also next Saturday HPW is back in action at the HPW Arena on the Bartholemew County Fairgrounds in Columbus, Indiana...Diceman Ronnie Vegas, Pastor Pain, Tom and Troy Van Zant, Metal Master and many others are on that card in Columbus, Indiana next Saturday. Go to hoosierprowrestling.bravehost.com for more information...
Insanity Pro Wrestling is at the Fountain Square Salvation Army at 1337 S Shelby Street in Indianapolis next Saturday. Faith n Nothing, Irish Airborne, Calton Kaz, Jon Moxley and Billy Roc are all on that card next Saturday. For the full card visit insanityprowrestling.com...
and Zach in Indianapolis wanted to know about Juggalo Championship Wrestling in Evansville next Saturday. I do not have all of the details yet but it will be posted on my website at theweekendwarrior.tk later today
----------------------------
In other notes, we had a caller wanting to know some information about Ricky Banderas who was diagnosed with sciatica after making a big debut in TNA as Judas Mesias. Ricky is Puerto Rican and still lives there in Bayamon. He was known as Cibernetico in Triple A in Mexico. It just so happens if you turned on Saturday's edition of Lucha Libre on Galavision you caught Banderas in a tag match. I am not sure when that match was taped.
Former Insanity Pro Wrestling Champion E.Z.Cruz continues to talk about an in-ring return in Indianapolis in the near future. He says he is still not sure what group or groups he will be working with...Cruz says he is in the process of getting a training center ready and also some plans are coming together for a couple of events in 2008.
NWA National Champion Chane Prophet continues to recover from surgery on a broken leg suffered recently. Doctor bills are now well over $10,000 and Chance has put alot of wrestling items on ebay to sell to raise money for the doctor bills.
The toxicology reports are in on Bryan Adams. Adams, who worked under several names including Crush as a part of Demolition, died recently of an accidental drug overdose. He reportedly had several drugs in his system at the time of death but the report said there were no steroids in his system. I am sure Nancy Grace will have some new ammo for next week
Birthday shoutouts this week go to Marty Graw who celebrates a birthday today in Louisiana....and Danny Basham celebrates on Wednesday this week...
----------------------------
Congratulations goes out to General Lee the winner of the 2007 Rebel Rumble at the EWF Arena in Marion, Indiana Saturday. Lee outlasted 28 others in the rumble. Also on Saturday

A reminder, EWF action returns to the EWF Arena next Friday, October 5th with a 7:30pm belltime. There will be no show at the arena next Saturday

On the independent news front in Indiana and abroad....
I received a message from a former IPW Heavyweight Champion that says he is on his way back to the Indiana Indepdendent Pro Wrestling Scene in the very near future....more to come soon
Tim in Niles, Ohio asked about the condition of Chance Prophet, the NWA National Champion and I did some checking and was put in touch with Bob Trobich, the executive director of the NWA who told me that Chance broke his leg and had to have surgery on it (plate, couple screws). He is out of action for at least 3 to 4 months. The NWA has not yet decided what to do with the NWA National title. Hopefully that answers your question!

We hope everyone is having a good weekend and supported independent pro wrestling. There were a number of shows this weekend and we will have results in a few minutes. There is one show that I did want to mention taking place on this Sunday and that is in Lafayette, Indiana. NWA-Indiana will have a big show today at Reihle Brothers, 2270 Concord Road in Lafayette. Belltime is at 6pm. On the card you will see Metal Master, Pure Dynamite Billy Roc, Guy Lombardo, Don Basher, Marc Houston, PT Hussla along with the returning "Sexy" Shawn Cook to ring action from his injuries he sustained a few months ago in a boating accident. Again belltime is at 6pm at Reihle Brothers in Lafayette.
To answer a question left on the hotline from Jim in Western Maryland, you can go to prowrestlingevents.tk and click on promotions to get one of the more complete lists of indy organizations from around the world. That again is prowrestlingevents.tk
