Indy Wrestle Line 8/26 Independent Report

Indy Wrestle Line 8/26 Independent Report
317-592-9401 option #2
http://www.themidwestinsider.cjb.net
http://theweekendwarrior.tk

Hello everyone and welcome to your Indy Wrestle Line Independent report I am the Weekend Warrior Randy Klemme.

Hopefully you had a chance to get out and enjoy an independent wrestling show in your area this weekend as there were quite a few around this weekend. We'll be getting to the results in a couple of minutes

But first a quick note on my thoughts on CNN and Nancy Grace. I was in the radio news business for 20 years and it all boils down to ratings. Nancy Grace has turned basically into some tabloid television. Ratings are great for pro wrestling so why not exploit it and get all of the wrestling fans to watch....it is plain and simple ratings in TV means commercial revenue for the network. Glen Beck has gotten as bad but not as bad as Nancy Grace dragging Marc Mero on every show she can and her band of doctors talking steroids, painkillers and all of the dead wrestlers under the age of 40. Nancy please drop it and move on to Lindsay Lohan again or something else. We know about the deaths....we mourn the deaths and don't need your help. Russ Ray I believe is going to talk about this subject in his segment this week on the hotline and I look forward to his spin on it...

Thanks to our Bowling Green, Kentucky caller for checking in and I look forward to hearing more about those shows....

A special birthday shoutout this weekend goes out to RUSS RAY who will be celebrating a birthday on Thursday this week...Happy Birthday RUSS!

There is one show today that I did want to mention....IPW-that's International Pro Wrestling will have a show Sunday with a 4pm belltime at the Waterbowl in Muncie, Indiana. This is a benefit for the Open Door Homeless Shelter in Muncie. Again today's belltime is at 4pm...

Semi-Main Event: OVW Tag Team Title Match
J-Man Olivencia came out carrying both Tag Team Titles with a bandaged right knee and a noticeable limp. Apparently the other co-holder of the OVW Tag Titles, TJ Dalton, had missed a flight and could not make it to the arena in time for his match. But since the contract was signed, J-man was set to defend the titles against the James Boys. As the James Boys cornered J-Man, music hit and Chris Cage came out to join J-Man in defending the titles. In the end, K C James made J-Man tap out with the Figure Four to capture the OVW Tag Team Titles.

Main Event: OVW Heavyweight Title Match
Team America was banned from ringside for this rematch from last Friday between Mike Kruel and Eugene, but when the ref was knocked out, the Insurgency came in and were knocked out by Eugene, followed by Ramon Loco who was chased out of the arena by Johnny Jeter, at which point Roucka came out and distracted Eugene while Vladimir Koslov snuck in the ring behind him. As Vladimir closed in and waited for his opportunity, Eugene Superkicked him right in the chin and Roucka ran away. Mike Kruel came out of nowhere with the OVW Heavyweight Title and laid Eugene out for the 3 count to retain.

Hello everyone and welcome to your Indy Wrestle Line Independent report I am the Weekend Warrior Randy Klemme.

Hopefully you had a chance to get out and enjoy an independent wrestling show in your area this weekend...

Did want to address a call that I received on the hotline, asking about our schedule here on option 2....well the only change is that Russ Ray will be on mainly Tuesday thru Thursday with his "The way I see it" feature. This was done to help me out during the week as my REAL job has been very busy of late. I will try to be on as soon as I can Friday evening with the first weekend update. To the caller in Bowling Green, Kentucky, I apologize for getting on so late this past Friday, but I had to be on the road 14 hours until I could get to a computer and call in a report. I know you are a regular caller and I will work harder to be earlier, but the paying job has to come first...

Not alot of indy news to report this weekend, however it is being reported that indy star Matt Sydal is telling friends he will soon be signing a WWE developmental contract. That's a blow for indy wrestling fans, but hopefully a good step for Matt....

This weekend's birthday shoutout goes to Violent Ed celebrating a birthday on Wednesday this week...Have a good one Ed....

Indy Wrestle Line 8/12 Independent Report

Hello everyone and welcome to your Indy Wrestle Line Independent report I am the Weekend Warrior Randy Klemme.

Well the big story of the weekend is the injunction filed by the Tennessee Titans to block Pacman Jones from working the TNA PPV this weekend, however a judge ruled early Saturday that Jones can participate with the PPV BUT not be involved in any physical activity. It will be interesting to see what role Pacman will play at Hard Justice and if he will abide by the rules of the court or do like he does with everything else in his life and do what he wants to do...

I posed a question this week on themidwestinsider.com message board and on my myspace bulletins asking if TNA should be considered a "major league" organization or still an indy. I received a mixed bag of comments but the consesous is that TNA IS a "major league" organization because of their TV contract with Spike, but should be considered on a much lower level than that of the WWE. My question now is, what will it take for TNA to move to the next level?

My next question on themidwestinsider.com message board and on my MySpace bulletins is...what should a PROFESSIONAL wrestler look like? OK when I was in the ring I wore bibbed overalls and LOOKED like a damn hillbilly that was my gimmick in the ring...Taking that into consideration that it was apart of my "look" in the ring...I see an awful lot of cutoff jeans, cutoff T-Shirts, tennis shoes---it makes some shows look for UN-professional or backyard...If you have a gimmick or schtick it is one thing...I seriously would like opinions on the subject...

To answer a couple of other questions called in this week...Good to hear from southside Mike. Mike I am not sure about the attendance figures from the IPW and IWA MidSouth shows last weekend, but I would suspect IPW had a larger crowd...

To Jay, nice to hear from you again....the reason I had mostly Kentucky results the other day when you called was because they were the ones that I hadn't given on my previous reports

A BIG hello to Dirty Squirrel who joined the family of hotline hosts in Indianapolis. We appreciate your compliments of the Indy Wrestle Line and hope you continue calling back...By the way the IWA MidSouth Indianapolis hotline number is 317-579-3230.

and to Max in Greenfield, you can get ahold of those pictures you were wanting from the last NEW show be e-mailing indianamatt32@yahoo.com and Matt Rogers can fix you up....
----------------------------------
A reminder it is NWA-Indiana action Sunday at Reihle Brothers in Lafayette, Indiana. Belltime is at 6pm on the card you will see a steel chain match between Don Basher and Guy Lombardo along with all of your NWA Indiana favorite stars.

Indy Wrestle Line 8/5 Independent Report

Hello everyone and welcome to your Indy Wrestle Line Independent report I am the Weekend Warrior Randy Klemme.

We have alot of things to cover on today's report since I was unable to get much done in the way of a report all week due to the real job at Fed Ex Ground so let's get into it.

Probably the biggest show of the day today in the country happens at the Plain Dealer Pavilion in Cleveland, Ohio with Cleveland All Pro Wrestling. A fantastic blend of legends of wrestlings and some of the new young stars on the card. The belltime today is at 3pm. On the card, CAPW Heavyweight Champion, The Blue Meanie defends the title against Jason Bane....But check out the list of legends on the card....Rick Steiner, Buff Bagwell, Jimmy Snuka, 2 Cold Scorpio, the list goes on and on. If you go to the show we want to hear your thoughts...

Now we have to answer alot of questions from callers on the hotline....To Zach in Indianapolis, Johnny B Badd or Mark Mero is VERY much alive. He has been on alot of TV News shows of late talking bad about the wrestling scene...As for Sable, she also valeted for Triple H in her early days with the WWE...

To our caller from Bowling Green, Kentucky....a couple of other hotlines to call is 317-335-4688 which is Dan Garza's News Line and the WCWO In-Touch Line at 317-308-6556. I will give a couple of more numbers next time

To Jason in Lebanon, Indiana...thanks for your well wishes with the heat next week...and to answer your question, I wish I was physically able to wrestle again. My last match was in April of 2006, but never say never. Now I am helping behind the scenes with WCWO and RWF...I think I still have a match or two left in me and YES I want another cage match with Don Basher...

and to Max in Greenfield, Indiana I will have your answer about pictures shortly. I think I know where you can get those pictures you asked about...

Birthday Shoutouts for the week got to the NWF's Crazy Courtney celebrating a birthday today...former WCWO referee Marc Green celebrates on Wednesday and Rena Mero-Lesner, she celebrates a birthday on Thursday this week...

Now let's get to the results from this weekend..

Insanity Pro Wrestling was in action Saturday night at the Fountain Square Salvation Army with their 6th Anniversary show...

Lou Roberts beat Ryan Rich
Dustin Rayz beat Sami Callihan, xOMGx, and Louis Linaris in a 4 way to gain entry into the 2007 Super Jr. Tourney in November.
